Jacob Johnson is born!
Jacob Emmanuel Johnson was born August 24th weighing in at 8 lb. 3 oz. He was born at Bryn Mawr hospital because there was no room at the Inn (Birth Center)- 5 babies were born that day. The midwife delivered the baby after a short labor. Mom and baby doing fine. We sneaked into the hospital against the rules (two underage little girls) and they let us visit even after they discovered us. It was great to be there with Mimi, Doug and Jacob, hold the baby and celebrate together. Welcome, Jacob!
Wedding Reception
Leah and Liz in their green dresses. It was green and white for the ladies and green ties for the gentlemen. We all worked hard to prepare the house and the refreshments for the reception. It was fun working together.

Reunion Photos Part Two
Some serious game playing.
After a day at the beach, Liz takes a snooze with her puppy.
Ryan was the chef of the evening working hard at the grill on the ribs, burgers and hot dogs. Fortunately he had some help.
It was a hot night, but our chef nobly pursued his task to the end with mouthwatering results.
Hot dogs were a favorite with the kids- though Isabelle undertook to eat a rib that was almost as big as she was.
We gathered for a home evening after the barbeque. Can you tell we were full?
Mom explained the activity for the evening- a team event. Family members were teamed up by the day of the week in which they were born with some modifications for fairness. Each team picked a scripture story out of a bowl. They were to pantomime the story as the rest of the family guessed. Every team member had to participate (no matter the age) and no sound was to be made. Costumes and props were permitted. The results were memorable!

We relaxed in the back yard as a barbeque was prepared for our enjoyment.

ReUnion Week Photos
Jeremiah is the cook for a fabulous family stir-fry feast and afterwards we went to Petrucci's for ice cream and a look at the animals there.
Isaac eyes the rabbits.
Isabelle feeds the goats.
Joseph really loved the goats and being able to touch them. They liked eating!
Shane, Peter and Oliver nose-to-nose with 'wildlife'.
Older kids like feeding the goats, too.
Yum!

Taking a rest
We had a great family reunion the week after Shana and Mike's wedding. The weather was warm and the quarters were snug, but a good time was had by all. Thanks to all the family and friends who housed the families who traveled cross country by car and by air to be with us. It was a time to remember!
