Youth Temple Trip

The day after Christmas, the youth in our ward went on a temple trip. It was great!  We first went to the Mall in D.C. and different groups went to different museums.  After that we went to a church near the temple and ate lunch/dinner, and then we went to the temple.

Before we headed off to the different museums.
 Looking at the lights
And speaking of temples, the Philadelphia temple has progressed greatly. :)

The Missionary in Mongolia

These pictures were sent to us by a Missionary Couple in Mongolia.

Abe and his Companion at their Christmas celebration.
Abe and his Companion about to leave (Abe said it was negative 15 degrees at the time).
 One more picture...
Abe at his district taco dinner.
"I know I'm handsome, but can this be the last picture?"

We love and miss Abe and Lizzy!  They are doing the Lord's work, and that's the greatest service they can give him.  Abe wishes you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Burn

If it looks like it hurt, it did.  I was ironing something for church, and I ended up ironing my finger too.  It's already looking better, though.  It was a lot shinier earlier in the day, and I think I'm going to get a blister.

CPFA Concert

This year CPFA had a combined Vocal and Instrumental concert.  We all sang the" Hallelujah Chorus" as the ending song, and it went really well.  Sorry, I didn't get anymore pictures.
John and Rebekah play "Jingle Bell Rock."

Christmas Caroling

We had a caroling party at Leah and Shane's on Saturday.
We had a wonderful meal, and sang our Christmas favorites.
Singing together.
Cutie Simon.
Santa Baby.

White Elephant

On Friday we had a White Elephant party with our church and school friends.
Toni deciding who to steal from.  Mom watched Evie,
because Shana and Mike went to a White Elephant too,
and she really like Zach's hat.

It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas

It finally snowed a full out snow this past Sunday.
It looks like it might be a white Christmas this year!
There's a tree in the Grand Hotel,
one in the park as well,
And this one isn't sturdy and doesn't grow.
And presents on(der) the tree!

Christmas Tree, Christmas Brunch

We set up our tree on Black Friday.
Putting it together.
On with the ornaments.
Macy's Christmas Village.
I almost screamed when the hand of Christmas Present touched my neck.
At the Church Christmas Brunch, I asked for a $500 Macy's Gift card.
I found out that Santa is a cheapskate, since he told me to talk
to my mom about it.... And yes, I'm wearing Dad's sweater.
Bekah wanted a new camera, since hers just died.
John wanted coal.... no really, it's true.  And let me tell you,
it took us forever to convince him to sit on Santa's lap.

Better Late Than Never!

First off, here is a picture of the Philadelphia Temple construction site.
Dad has wanted me to post this for awhile.  I think it's awesome that,
after several years, they have finally started to build it.
Next, me and Bekah turned 14 on the 8th of November.
Blowing out the candles.

This is of the LDS Youth Standards Night.
This was the day after our birthday,
and the first dance we have attended.  We learned how to
swing dance from some lady.  It was fun.
Me swing dancing with Evan Kwan.
According to him, I have long hands :)
Bekah learning how to swing dance with whats-his-face.
Slow dancing with Miguel Urbina.
Next was school Picture Day.  Here is me.  Unfortunately,
Bekah was unwilling to let me post any pictures of her.
Me Again
And again....
Who's that handsome young man?  Oh wait,
that's my brother.
That cool, clear, gaze....
Don't look at me!
Anyway, hope you guys enjoyed this blog post.  Much love ♥

I Turn Punk... For Halloween

I know it's a bit early to start getting ready for Halloween, but I've decided that I'm going to be a punk for the upcoming holiday.  I'm really excited.  I only have my makeup and REMOVABLE hair dye, but I'm also planning to get a costume too.
Wassup?
Luckily my complexion is perfect for this, and I don't have to get white makeup to cover up my skin.  I'm planning on having makeup lessons from Shana, too, so this should be better.

Youth Temple Trip

On Friday, there was a youth temple trip.  It was tons of fun, and very refreshing to go to the temple after all the excitement of the summer.  Though I must say, it's a very long drive to the D.C. temple, and I can't wait for the Philadelphia temple to be done!

Philadelphia Temple construction.
 D.C. Temple.
 The Young Women.
John and Miguel, the only priests their.

I love to go to the temple, and I remember when I was in primary singing "I Love to See the Temple".  I can't wait until December when we have our next Youth Temple Trip. :)

Saturday was Mom's Birthday, so to celebrate the fact we went to Valley Forge Park to sing to Mom and eat dessert.  Shana fancified one of the picnic tables, and Mimi made amazing creamsicle cupcakes with cream cheese icing.
