After a sudden and wonderful 5 inches of snow and lots of 20- degree weather, we were graced with an equally sudden and wonderful 60 degree day. It was bea-u-ti-ful!! In celebration of the warm day I took the kids on a walk to the "Duck Pond", braving a multitude of puddles and very deep mud. The pond at Fenimore Woods had frozen over so thickly that people were able to walk on it without concern. When we arrived the sun had already done it's work and melted a good portion of the ice, but the kids still ventured on a small safe looking part of the pond in spite of my protests. They seemed to take pleasure in scaring the living day lights out of me.
Unfortunately it's starting to get chilly again, but we enjoyed our short breath of spring in all its splendor and hope another one will come and stay
very soon.

We have been having lots of sun too. Thanks for the photos, I miss the family
Liz don't you know there's nothing more thrilling than walking on melting ice? It's more exciting than skydiving.
